Good weather is here, and the willingness to go out and play, run and have fun, too. It is an excellent time to observe the changes that nature and our environment are experiencing: the flowers bloom and leave the fields full of rainbows; the nests are filled with little birds that fly for the first time; insects come out of their hiding places to explore the freshest vegetation, and the sky gives us its most precious palette of blues of the year.

All these new sensations inspire and invite us to be more creative and original than ever. For this reason, we think it is a great idea to decorate our houses with crafts inspired by this season. We propose three spring crafts: a painting of natural flowers, a bouquet of flowers made of coloured pasta, and some roses made with toilet paper tubes.

At ELIS ELIS we create worlds and bring our ideas to life without limiting our imagination. Will you join us?

A canvas of natural flowers

Let’s start with a fun, entertaining and very easy to make proposal.

What do we need?

  • Natural flowers
  • Cardstock, a piece of paper or a canvas
  • Brush
  • White glue

What should we do?

  1. First of all, we need to collect the flowers. There is a great variety of colours and shapes. We encourage you to choose the ones you like most.
  2. We take our cardboard, paper or canvas and make a quick outline of how we would like to place the flowers. Let your imagination run wild, the possibilities are endless!
  3. Once decided, it’s time to make our painting! We take a little white glue and with a brush, we put some exactly where we want to stick the flower.
  4. We do the same with the rest of the flowers. The result is a beautiful and very springy canvas! With time, the flowers will dry out, leaving a beautiful creation of dried flowers.

Bouquet of flowers with coloured pasta

All those of you who love pasta bows will love this craft!

What do we need?

  • Coloured bow tie
  • Cardstock
  • Cardboard or fabric
  • White glue

What should we do?

  1. First of all, we take a piece of cardboard or canvas, draw an inverted triangle and cut it out.
  2. Next, we take the cardstock and glue the inverted triangle to it. It will be the support of our bouquet!
  3. And finally, we take the coloured bow pasta and glue it with white glue over the support of the bouquet.
  4. At this point, we have our bouquet of coloured pasta ready!

Roses made with toilet paper tubes

If you have toilet paper tubes and don’t know what to do, we have a craft that you will love!

What do we need?

  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Water-based paint
  • cardboard straws
  • White glue
  • Brush

What should we do?

  1. First of all, we take the straws and the toilet paper tubes. With a brush and paint, we give them some colour. The straws will be the support of the flower and, therefore, they can be green, and the tubes will be the petals of our roses, so we can make them pink, red, blue, yellow…
  2. We let the materials rest in a cool place so that the paint dries.
  3. Next, we stick the toilet paper tubes on the straws with some glue. We have our roses ready!
